It sounds like you're on day two of Suboxone and not feeling great, and your doctor isn't easy to reach right now. That's a tough spot to be in, but hang in there — the first few days can be the hardest.

It sounds like you're on day two of Suboxone and not feeling great, and your doctor isn't easy to reach right now. That's a tough spot to be in, but hang in there — the first few days can be the hardest.

On day two, some common side effects people experience include:

- Headache
- Nausea or vomiting
- Trouble sleeping
- Sweating
- General discomfort or withdrawal-like feelings

These are normal early on as your body adjusts to the medication. While waiting to connect with your doctor, there are a few important things to keep in mind:

- Do not mix Suboxone with alcohol, benzodiazepines, gabapentin, or anything that slows your nervous system — this can be life-threatening
- Do not stop taking Suboxone suddenly without medical guidance
- Do not adjust your dose on your own

If symptoms feel severe or you're having trouble breathing, seek emergency care right away. Most doctors also have an after-hours line or nurse line — it's worth trying that while you wait for an appointment.
